Harold is a 13 year old, tri-colored male. He is an Open level trial dog on sheep and has won or placed highly in several trials over his career, including being a Calgary Stampede finalist. He is my main competition partner.
Harold is our pride and joy! He is a line-bred pup from the crossing of Sky to Marvin that we kept from our 2012 fall litter. He is the last pup of Sky and our beloved Marvin. Harold has a great temperament with people and is a spitting image of his father Marvin. The combination of Marvin's talent and tremendous heart with Sky's excellent feel for stock proved to be a great crossing. Harold has an excellent eye and feel for his sheep and is always in the right place at the right time. After a successful Nursery year and excellent showing at the 2015 Calgary Stampede where he came 4th out of 60 dogs on the 2nd day, Harold has become my top Open competitor. Harold also can work cattle well. He has produced pups that have gone on to be both successful as sheep and cattle dogs.
Harold is DNA clear for CEA. Both his parents have been Optigen tested with genetics rated as Normal, therefore Harold is also genetically Normal for CEA.
Harold has been DNA tested for TNS (Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome) and is genetically Clear/Normal.
Harold has been DNA tested for I-GS (Imerslund-Grasbeck Syndrome) and is genetically Clear/Normal.
Harold has been DNA tested for CL (Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis) and is genetically Clear/Normal.
Significance for breeding: Harold can be mated to any female and never produce pups Affected with CEA, TNS , CL, or I-GS.
Harold is also OFA certified for his hips and rated GOOD.

Rip is a 4 year old black and white male! A son of our great Harold. He will be competing at the Open level in 2026.
Rip is very special to us. He is a son of our great Harold. Rip's mother Kip is a very well bred female coming from strong cattle lines. She is sired by CKF Mac who goes back to hall of fame JR Red. One of the best cattle dog producing sires out there. Kip's dam side goes back to Montgomery's great dog Ben and Gonnet's Ettrick Meg. Rip is biddable but tough. He has a good temperament and is becoming a very good trial dog. Rip has a beautiful outrun and natural lift. He reads his sheep very well, and can handle even the most difficult sheep, from nervous ewes with fresh lambs to tough rams. He is a beautiful, big boned, rough coated dog with an unforgettable ear set, LOL. Sadly Rip proved to be sterile and will never sire a litter, but he makes up for it in his ability as a competition dog and my best friend. He is truly one of a kind.
Rip received a clear DNA panel from Paw Print Genetics. He is clear for CEA, TNS, I-GS, Multidrug resistance, CL, and Sensory Neuropathy.

Eeva is a 8 year old tri-colored female. She had a very successful first trial year as a yearling competing in a couple Nursery and Pro-Novice level classes. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, competitions for 2020 were cancelled and Eeva missed running her Nursery year.
Eeva is a very special girl that we kept from our breeding of Abby to Harold late 2017. Abby required an emergency c-section for this litter of 9 pups, and the moment I was brought in to the ICU to see all 9 live pups swimming around in the incubator, I fell in love with Eeva. She was the tiniest of the bunch, with this unique ying-yang swirl over her face and head. She was the feistiest of them all and at that moment I knew she was my pup. When her eyes popped open at two weeks old, her bright blue eyes were more than a surprise ! I decided to name her Eeva, my little Alien. Eeva not only is my very special girl, but she is proving to be a very talented dog to train. She is hot-headed and has a short fuse when she doesn't understand something so she takes patience to train, but she is the perfect blend of her parents Harold and Abby. She is a beautiful outrunner and has a really good eye for balance. She has an excellent trial future ahead of her.
Eeva has a clear DNA panel through parentage. Significance for breeding : Eeva can be mated to any male and never produce pups Affected with any of the 7 testable diseases by PawPrint Genetics.
Eeva has had her hips OFA certified and her hips were rated GOOD.

Abby is a 12 year old, black and white female. She is now retired from competition due to injury, but in her prime was one of my main Open trial dogs. Abby had 3 litters of pups in her career and is now retired from breeding. She is a loving member of our family and still works sheep here at home.
Abby came to us from Manitoba. She not only brought some excellent genetics to our breeding program, she has become a great Open trial competitor for me. Her sire, Del'Mar Skeet comes from very good breeding, carrying two international supreme champions in his pedigree. Abby's mother Nell can be traced back to 3 time US National Champion, Berhow's Nick. Abby is a sweet and calm minded female that makes everyone who meets her fall in love with her. On her sheep she is a big outrunner, has beautiful balance, is very stock smart, and is the type of dog that I love to work with. Abby is the mother to our Eeva.
Abby has been Optigen DNA tested clear for CEA with genetics rated Normal.
Abby is also genetically clear for the full border collie panel as of 2017 testable diseases as both her parents were tested clear on the full panel.
Significance for breeding : Abby can be mated to any male and never produce pups Affected with any of the 7 testable diseases by PawPrint Genetics.
Abby has hips OFA certified with rating GOOD.

Arya is a 6 year old, black and white female. We are very excited about this awesome addition to our kennel. Arya brings some excellent bloodlines to our breeding program and is already proving to be such a talent to train!
Arya came to us from King's View Ranch in Moore, Idaho, USA. She is definitely proving to be an excellent addition to our roster, and she brings a blend of some of the best sheep and cattle bloodlines you can find. Her sire is Don Helsley"s Wizard who had an incredible trial career and is the Grandson of Canadian Sheepdog Champion CV Joe. Wizard is also the son of L&M Ryn who won the US Cattledog Championship. On Arya's mother's side you will find a blend of excellent ranch and trial dogs working both sheep and cattle . Arya is just starting her training, but is proving to be a very quick learner. She has excellent balance and tons of forward on her sheep. She is fearless when it comes to her stock yet very biddable to train , and has unbelievable stamina. She no doubt will be an excellent future trial partner!
Arya is OFA certified for her hips with a rating of Excellent. Arya also received a clear DNA panel from Paw Print Genetics.

"Lennie" is a 2 years old, tri-colored female with a lean frame and athletic build. She is a very high-drive dog on her sheep and a joy to train. Lennie will be making her trial debut running Nursery in 2026.
Eleanor, aka, Lennie, is a younger sister to our superstar William, ("Bill"). She has quickly become my "heart" dog and just like her big brother Bill, has endless amounts of heart and try. She is an absolute joy to train and will give you her all every time. She has incredible natural talent with a beautiful natural outrun, naturally square flanks, and tons of speed. She is a very stylish working girl and will be ready to prove her talent on the trial field next year in the Nursery class. Off the sheep Lennie is a goofy, loveable, beyond sweet, beautiful dog that is always by my side and, like her big brother, the best couch cuddler. Lennie is a very special part of the JLM team.

Beth is a 4 year old, black and white rough coated female. Beth is a very special girl that we absolutely love.
Beth is the product of combining our excellent stud dog Harold to our very talented Arya. We have been looking forward to this crossing since Arya came home with us in 2019. Beth is everything we were hoping for and we can not wait for her future as a trial dog. Harold and Arya are our two most talented dogs. We hope that Arya's speed and grit combines with Harold's incredible stock sense and good eye in this little one, making for an extremely talented little girl.

William, aka "Bill" is a 3 year old black and white male. He is a full brother to our Beth, and a son to our two best dogs, Harold and Arya. Bill is our pride and joy. He is everything we hope to produce with our breeding program and are so proud of what he is becoming.
Even as a very young dog, JLM William, aka. "Bill", has been exceptional. Not only stunningly handsome, he is an absolute gentleman, a lover of all people, beautifully put together, athletic, intelligent, the easiest dog to ever train, and will do anything he is asked. He received a fully clear DNA panel from Wisdom and awarded a rare score of "Excellent" by the OFA for his hips. He is now proving to be an excellent sire with his first pups being old enough to be put to stock, and proving to carry on his intelligent mind and excellent stock sense. He is a dog that will do anything for me, from the trial field, to dealing with tough ewes with fresh lambs, to being a lead dog in our sled dog team. Bill has proven he can do anything and is proudly stepping into his father Harold's shoes as being the keystone of JLM Border Collies.
